Officially a graduated Arizona State Sun Devil. Had some of the best and quickest 4 years of my life. Luckily for me, a good amount of my friend group settled on the East Coast after.
I moved back home, to NYC and as the old adage goes, “recruiting sort of found me.” TEKsystems stood out to me compared to a few other recruiting agencies due to what it’s all about: the people. The leader of the office stood out as someone I would want to fight for. My team would joke that TEK was “corporate bootcamp” and it sure enough provided an excellent training I will forever be impressed by.
In my first year of recruiting, I supported a team specializing in contingent hiring and staff augmentation. We supported many clients through NYC such as top investment banks, hedge funds and healthcare providers. I really enjoyed this role and picked the knack of recruiting up fairly quickly. Urgency matters.
Moving into an Account Management-Full life cycle recruitment role I got my a** kicked the first year. New territory building, frozen-cold accounts, and simply being a baby in the industry were roadblocks I saw. With the help of a few mentors, a new gifted territory to be grateful of, year 2&3 were a 180 for me. I will forever be thankful for the exposure that role gave and the people I worked alongside of.
After 3.5 years, a rapidly growing market, I received a LinkedIn message which caught me by surprise from Facebook which has brought me to a new chapter
